Nancy Lynn Delk
Was born and raised on the same land, three miles out of Wakefield, in Surry County that he and his wife live on today. They have been married 48 years, have 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren and are expecting their first great grandchild. He tried motorcycle racing before building his own modified pulling tractor which he entered in competitions up and down the East Coast for 21 years. He retired as a Forest Warden and mechanic from the Virginia Department of Forestry in 2003 after more than 29 years of service. He was ordained as a deacon in the Waverly Baptist Church in 1995, taught Sunday School and served as the Commander of the Awana program and enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a lay speaker at several churches. He and his wife have enjoyed being part of several mission teams, traveling to Romania, Ukraine (where he was the team leader) and Peru. They were also trained and certified for Disaster Relief efforts. He has been in the process of restoring a 1952 GMC truck that they had shortly after they were married.
Emily is a life long resident of Portsmouth and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She later went on to further her music studies at Washington Bible College and Tidewater Community College. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kee Business College and Portsmouth School of Nursing, respectively.
Emily has served in various churches throughout the Hampton Roads area as music director and organist for over 30 years. She currently serves as pianist, organist and music director of Cypress Chapel Christian Church.
She has three children and two beautiful granddaughters, and is expecting another grandchild in December 2014. She and her three "canine kiddies" enjoy spending lots of good times together.
Graduated from Warwick High School. He is married to Diane. Served in the Air Force and joined law enforcement in 1967 and retired in 2011. He is a Mason and a member of Windsor Christian Church Mens Fellowship.
Mr. Rose retired from International Paper Company after 38 years. He has three daughters and two sons and five grandchildren. He joined scouting in 1958 and has worked with Troop 41 in Windsor, VA since 1982. He is a member of Windsor Christian Church and loves the outdoors and hunting.
Mr. Smith was born in Gates County, N.C. He is a graduate of Sunbury High School. He is married to Glenda Smith. He is retired from Newport News Shipbuilding. Earl is a member of the Liberty Spring Ruritan Club, Liberty Spring Senior Citizens and Liberty Spring Christian Church. Earl volunteers two days a week at Suffolk Meals on Wheels and delivers meals once a quarter. He is an honorary life member of the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad after actively pulling duty for 33 years. Earl enjoys fishing and being active in church.
Born in Portsmouth VA and currently resides in Edenton, NC. Received a Drafting and Design Degree from College of the Albemarle, and worked in the Design Field for eight years. He received his Mortuary Science Degree from Tidewater Community College and has owned, operated and worked for funeral firms in Edenton. He is licensed in North Carolina and Virginia. In his spare time he enjoys riding on the boat, fishing and a day at the beach.
Mrs. Frierson was born in Rushville, Indiana, and raised in Wakefield. She is a graduate of Wakefield High School and Pan American Business School. She is married to Bill Frierson, and they have four adult children and 12 grandchildren. As a civil servant, Kathy worked for the Department of Defense in Maryland for over 23 years. She is an active member of the Wakefield Methodist Church.In her free time, Kathy enjoys playing bridge, reading, singing in the church choir, and golfing with her husband.
