Robert C Shellito , “Pepper” died January 23, 2021. He was the son of the late Lillian and Arthur Shellito. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Allen as well 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Pepper served in the U.S. Navy, serving onboard thenUSS George Washington. He retired as a Lieutenant for the City of Portsmouth Police Department.

Saturday, January 16, 2021, Melvin Lassiter, a hardworking, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at the age of 70.

Melvin was born January 13, 1951 in Suffolk, VA. He was one of the best drywall hangers, been called a legend. He married Beverly Abbott, November 19, 1983 and lived out the rest of his days in his dream home in Smithfield, VA.

Petty Officer Matthew Ryan Kempson passed away December 25th, 2020 in Suffolk, VA at the age of 30. He joined the Navy after graduating from R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, NC. He is survived by his grandmother Vickie Hutto, his mother Jennifer Kempson, his sister Rachel Kempson and his stepfather Paul LaChance. His memorial service took place on January 16th, 2021 in Winston-Salem, N.C. His military memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia.
