Mr. Claud was a retired Senior Engineering Analyst with Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a member of First Baptist Church " the King's Fork Ruritan Club and served as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. For eight years he served in the Virginia National Guard.

Mrs. Bray was a member of West End Baptist Church. She was an active volunteer in the Suffolk School System and a strong advocate for children with special needs. For many years " Mrs. Bray was very active in the medical auxiliary.

Born November 24 1910 in Dearborn MI to the late Keith and Minnie Howard she had worked as a librarian with the city of Dearborn. She was predeceased in death by her son Keith James Ackerman on December 17 2007.
Mrs. Ackerman is survived by her loving family including her granddaughter Kimberly Ackerman of Raleigh NC; her grandson Chester Ackerman of Tampa FL; and her daughter-in-law Elsie Doughty Ackerman of Suffolk.
