George Leon Noel Jr. 73 passed away unexpectedly at Sentara Obici Hospital after a short illness September 30 2006. George was born October 6 1932 in Ludlow MA to the late George and Noella Noel.
George was a veteran of the United States Navy but his life's work was as a printer. He along with his wife Joan was the owner of the Gurley Press LLC. He was a member of the Eastover- Wilroy Ruritan Club former District Governor of the Ruritan Life member of the Nansemond Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad and member of Providence United Methodist Church.

Daniel Preston Harrell 80 died February 25 " 2006.

Born December 14" 1926 in Nansemond County VA he was the son of the late Roscoe and Manie Horton Harrell.

Mr. Harrell retired from Planters as a machine operator and was a farmer for many years. He was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church where he had served as chairman of the Board of Deacons and on the Board of Trustees.

Survivors include his wife Helen Claud Harrell and several cousins.

Thomas J. “TJ” Brinkley, 88, the son of the late Bennie Aaron and Earlie Byrum Brinkley passed away on Saturday March 4, 2017.

TJ was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, a deacon twice and treasurer in the early years of the Church. He was also a member of the men’s choir, and was affiliated with Allen Hardware, TJ was also the manager of Suffolk Marina. He served his country in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post # 0141.
