Nimville Lynn Whedbee Jr. 75 died Friday June 15 2007 from a heart attack while driving his vehicle.

Born in Suffolk Virginia he was the son of the late Beulah L. and Nimville Lynn Whedbee Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother George B. Whedbee Sr.; children Wanda Kay Whedbee and Steve Lynn Whedbee. Mr. Whedbee was a member of the Merchant Marines and the Local Iron Workers Union.

Survivors include his sister Elizabeth W. Baker; brothers Jimmie Leigh Whedbee Aubrey R. Whedbee Sr. John W. Whedbee Sr.; grandchildren; and good friend Margaret Suits.

Newman T. Milteer

Newman Taylor Milteer 76 son of the late Jethro T. and Mary T. Milteer passed away June 14 2007 after a long illness. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister and brother Nancy J. Mann and J. Thomas Milteer Jr.

Mr. Milteer was retired from Astor Nut Company and was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church and the Men's Bible Class. He served in the United States Marine Corps for two years during the Korean Conflict.

Ethel Geraldine Crompton Kershaw formerly of Colona IL died June 12 2007 at Nansemond Pointe Convalescent Center in Suffolk Virginia.

Born February 14 1916 in Taylor Ridge IL she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Crompton. Ethel was a member of Colona United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Russell D. Kershaw. They were married from June 21 1941 until his death in April 14 2000. She was retired from Eagle Food Centers and had previously worked at the Airport Inn Moline and the Toasty Shop in Rock Island.

She is survived by her mother Gladys Jones on Carrollton KY a daughter Beverlie Taylor of Georgetown KY and a son and his wife Rod and Priscilla Taylor of Suffolk VA and granddaughter Delaney Taylor.
