Born August 7 1942 in Pittsburgh PA he was the son of the late Arthur Jacob and Catherine Bennett Hengler. Mr. Hengler was employed as an electrician with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of St. Mary's of the Presentation Catholic Church the Knights of Columbus the Suffolk Moose Lodge and was the Union Steward for Electrical and Shipyard Workers 7363 Council.

James Norman Oliver Sr. 70 passed away Friday November 3 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Norman was born May 28 1936 to the late Jesse and Ruby Oliver of Smithfield VA. He attended Hargrave Military Academy where he excelled in track and field. Norman grew up on Longview Farm where he farmed with his older brother J. Vernon Oliver Jr. for 40 years. Norman's passion in life was operating a grain combine and hauling peanuts. He harvested thousands of acres of crops for other farmers throughout his career.
