Marshall Howell Parker 82 died August 26 2007.

Born in Gates County NC he was the son of Cleopus and Lizzie H. Parker. He had retired from Planters Peanuts as bookkeeper. Mr. Parker was a member of First Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Club of Liberty Springs Christian Church.

Survivors include nieces " nephews and many special friends.

Mary Manos Damiani peacefully departed on August 26 2007 at Nansemond Pointe. A native of Suffolk Mary was preceded in death by her parents Katina and Gus Manos and her brother Dr. Nick J. Manos.

Mary was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College and retired as Office manager at Duke Oldsmobile. Mary was a member of Greek Orthodox Cathedral ' Norfolk. She was also a member of the Riverview Garden Club Sans Souci Literary Club the Suffolk Art League and member and past Secretary of the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society.

Russell Lowell Dixon 81 went to be with the Lord on August 26 2007.

A native of Orbit VA he was the son of the late Walter Samuel and Ethel Lorraine B. Dixon and widower of Annette Dixon. Mr. Dixon was a former resident of Suffolk but he had lived in Grandy NC since his retirement from the Norfolk & Western Railroad as a messenger. He was a member of the Driver Fire Department. During WW II he served in the Merchant Marines.

Diana Nelms Horton 93 died August 26 2007 in Sentara Nursing Center Chesapeake VA.

She was born April 5 1914 in Suffolk VA the daughter of the late S. Clyde and Matilda D. Nelms. She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Thomas Horton and son Thomas Clyde Horton.

Mrs. Horton was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and the Church's Saints Alive Group. She retired form Obici Memorial Hospital Medical Records Department.
