Betty R. Speight died unexpectedly on September 13, 2020 at the age of 67 due to complications of Covid-19.

Betty lived a fulfilling life as a wife, mother, grandmother (Mimi), sister and friend.

Betty is survived by her husband, Donnie Speight; daughters, Brianne S. Proctor (Scott) and Becky S. Litterer; five grandchildren, Kaelyn Proctor, Natylea Proctor, Haylea Proctor, Madalyn Litterer and Dylan Litterer.

John M. Yoksza, III, 51, passed away September 6, 2020, after a long courageous fight with cancer.  John was a longtime resident of Suffolk.

 He graduated from Tabb High School, Yorktown, VA, and later served his country by joining the Army and deployed to Kuwait during the Iraq War.  John was a gentle giant with a gentle soul.  He loved his German Shepherd, Buddy, his constant companion. Besides serving in the military, John was a licensed Med Tech, well versed in computers, and an avid target shooter.

Magdalene S. Kulucas

Magdalene Sfirios Kulucas, formerly of Suffolk, Virginia fell asleep in the Lord on September 7, 2020. She was born on April 12, 1931 on the Dodecanese Island of Halki, off the coast of Rhodes, in Greece. At the age of 27, she married Anargyros Kulucas and embarked on her journey to the United States. With limited knowledge of the English language, she began a new life in a new country which she grew to love and eventually adopt.

Noel Crawford Lovelace

Noel Crawford Lovelace passed September 6, 2020 at his home. He was born to Marc and Midge Lovelace on September 7, 1948, in Raleigh, NC. He is survived by his wife Marion Anne Williams Lovelace, son Marc, daughter-in-law Rachel, and granddaughter Morgan Anne; his sister Lynn Fenderson, nieces, and nephews. In his extensive musical career, Noel served as a professor, choral and orchestra conductor, composer, and church musician.

Due to Covid a memorial service will be conducted at a later date in Wake Forest, NC.
