Carol Bailey of Waverly, VA passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2018. She was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church and the Sussex Historical Society. Mrs. Bailey retired from teaching after 37 years of service. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Edward Bailey.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years, Robert Louis Bailey; daughter, Ann Vogt and husband, Gregory; grandchildren, Erika, John, Matthew, and Hunter and numerous loving nieces and nephews and many devoted friends.

Philip B. Moser III passed away April 24, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General. He is the son of the late Phil and Cecil Moser.

     Joshua “Jack” Cottingham West IV passed away in his home Wednesday May 2nd, 2018. He was born June 4, 1942 in Suffolk, VA and was a lifelong resident of his beloved town. He was predeceased by his parents Joshua C. West III and Frances H. West, sister, Sherwood Sackett, and grandson Mason Joshua West. He was a proud Marine and served five years in the Reserves. He exemplified the courage of a warrior in his 33 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He graduated from Old Dominion University and a KA Fraternity member.
