Marvin Stewart 68 of Suffolk died February 27 2007 at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Born March 24 1938 in Norfolk he was the son of the late Ada Spruill and Rudolph Dudley Stewart.

Mr. Stewart was a member of the West End Baptist Church and a former member of the Suffolk Police Department. He retired from GTL Transport and worked part time at the Suffolk Golf Course.

Born January 10 1933 in Suffolk VA he was the son of the late Joseph Cefus 'Jody'? Johnson and Eunice Fowler Johnson. He attended Cypress Chapel and Thomas Jefferson Schools and graduated from Suffolk High School. At the age of 12 he joined Boy Scout Troop 5 and was active in scouting for the next 45 years. He was a charter member of the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad and was active in the squad for twenty-five years. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Mr. Walton was a Navy veteran of WW II and retired in 1980 after thirty nine years of service from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as planning and estimating supervisor. He was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and the Eastover-Wilroy Ruritan Club.

Born August 9 1918 in Norfolk VA he was the son of the late William and Roxanna Fox Beck and widower of Ruth Elizabeth Dawley Beck. Mr. Beck retired from Naval Air Station Norfolk in 1973 as Aviation Metal Smith and with his brothers owned and operated Beck's Body Works in Norfolk. He served in the Army Cavalry in Panama before WW II and when the war started he reenlisted in the Army Air Corp. Raymond Ruth and Don were charter members of Open Door Church in Suffolk.

Mrs. Stafford retired as secretary and book keeper for St Mary's Catholic Church " Chesapeake and as a book keeper for St. Therese's Catholic Church. She also worked as a food service manager for the Albemarle County public school system and was a former member the ladies auxiliary of the DAV.

Mr. Whitley was retired from VDOT as maintenance superintendent of Traffic Engineering after 37 years of service. He was a Deacon and member of Wilroy Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. He served 26 years in the Virginia National Guard serving as 1st Sergeant and was a member of American Legion Post 57.
