Guestbook

I had just wrecked the drivers ed car. I am on the phone in the school office at the counter notifying my mom. And all she can do is ask if I am alright. She was very shaken up.

"Yes mom... Yes... I am ok...Mom...Everyone else is ok, Yes mom...I am ok....Mom...Yes mom...I am ok..."

I feel so bad. When I got home that evening I knew it was only going to get worse. Dad would not be as sympathetic. I felt so rotten and miserable.

But I glanced out of the corner of my eye. I will never forget the Mr. Hooper sitting at his desk trying desperately to suppress a huge belly laugh. I must have added hours on to his day with more paperwork. But he could laugh at the situation and know his day was not all that bad in comparison. I felt better and knew I would get through it.

"Mom...it's ok...Mr Hooper is laughing at me right now." With that Mr. Hooper let loose. Mom could hear him. Finally, that convinced her I was alight. He was the best.

God bless the Hooper family. Mr. Hooper had such an impact on so many IWA families, and surely will be missed. I'm sorry I couldn't make the visitation to see them and so many others paying their respects to such a loving family!
