William “Bill” Lloyd Brooks Sr. went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2017. He is predeceased by his parents Shelton and Ruth Truitt and Laura Belle Brooks, and his brother Jimmy Truitt. Bill retired from Rose’s Department Store after 44 years and was a lifetime fan of Alabama football…..Roll Tide Roll!

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years Carolyn Mabe Brooks, sons William L. Brooks Jr. and Rickey Brooks (Debi), daughter Suzanne Brooks Hudgens (Branden), grandchildren Brittany Brooks, Shayne Brooks, and Tyler Hudgens, brothers Jack Truitt (Michelle) and Calvin Brooks (Tammy).

A graveside service will be held Friday December 29, 2017 2 PM at Holland Cemetery US 58 & O’Kelly Dr Suffolk, VA with Pastor Calvin Brooks officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday December 28, 2017 from 7 to 8:30 PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory 509 W. Washington St Suffolk, Va. The family is being assisted by R.W.
