Valerie Joyce Marshall

Valerie Joyce Marshall, 81, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Clements. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles L. Marshall, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Deborah M. Clay of Suffolk, VA, Charles L. Marshall, Jr. (Theresa) of Smithfield, VA and Scott Marshall, Sr. (Juanita) of Windsor, VA; sisters, Kath Willimott and Barbara Walton; grandchildren, Jason, Scotty, Jesse and Jonny; along with many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Rd. Suffolk at 1 PM by Rev. Ryan Brice. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond River Baptist Church, 2896 Bridge Rd. Suffolk, VA 23435. I have enjoyed knowing Valerie through these years as being members of Nansemond River Baptist and sisters in Christ, I also loved being in the choir with her and will miss her smile.
