We are very saddened to hear this news. Every time I came into her presence she always had a smile and a kind word. It was obvious that she loved her family and that she was very supportive of Glenn and her children. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Glenn & Family, I was so sorry to learn of Susan,s passing. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. It is so hard to loose a loved one. As you mourn her loss and celebrate her life, know that others are praying for you during this difficult time. I remember all the children, as I frequently gave them rides to the Academy when I worked at the ASCS Office when they were small. She will be greatly missed.

My heart breaks for your family in this time of loss. I am so sorry. Thomas and I are thinking of you all and hope you share peace is this togetherness. While it has been years since I've seen your mother, it seems like yesterday I remember going in the kitchen like stepping back in time to a world that was simple, slower and so southernly hospitable. I remember her closet vividly and the blue leather couch that I would "claim" for sleepovers. I can hear her voice (the very Colosse accent, "Kelly Grier"), see her smile, and almost smell the undoubtably wonderful meal she was preparing for us. She was a treasure for sure and I know will be greatly missed.

Glenn, you and your family have been in my thoughts for a long time. Life without Susan will be different but together you will be ok, even though many days you will wonder how! She was a good friend and I have many wonderful memories of our families being together.
Take life one day at a time and grieve when ever you feel the need. It is not a one day process. All of you are in my prayers.

Dear Carr Family, I once worked with your mother in doing flower arrangements for the daughter of a mutual friend who taught at NSA. I remember she was so easy to work with-we had fun getting to know each other. I also remember she was very talented in making flower arrangements. It was a brief encounter in the span of a lifetime but a lovely memory for me. Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of such a loving mother and wife.

My thoughts are with your entire family and I am very sorry for your loss. I am Susan’s cousin on her father’s side. I have many memories growing up of Susan, Markie, and Steve. I recall family reunions and many times in Elkin. We were closer in age than the other cousins so we would hang out.
After college, we drifted away from each other into new lives. I was informed of Susan’s death by Richard Noe, mutual cousin, and I have informed other family members.
She leaves behind her husband Glenn and wonderful children to celebrate her life.
