Ruth Worrell Culbertson, 95, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Laura Whitley and Milton Harrell Worrell. Ruth is also predeceased by her sister, Nellie Bryant and brothers, Edward Worrell and George Benny Pope.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. Ruth loved antiques and gardening, but most of all she loved the Lord.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Mark Culbertson; son Lee Culbertson (Pam); grandson Shane Culbertson; granddaughter Kayla Culbertson; sisters Alice Mansfield, and Eva Holland; and loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held in Holly Lawn Cemetery by Rev. Gary Newsome. Ruth will be available for viewing in the R.W. Baker & Co Funeral Home and Crematory, Suffolk on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 9 to 5 PM.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6350 Center Dr Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502. So sorry to hear about Aunt Ruth, she was a sweet lady. Aunt Eva and I visited her just before the virus hit our country. She asked me to come back and read out the bible to her, but because of the virus I was not able to fulfill her wishes. May God give you all the comfort and strength that only He can.
