Pia Maria Beckers of Suffolk passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Berta and Karl Wunsch. She was predeceased by her husband Josef Beckers who passed in 2014 after 49 years of marriage to Pia.

Pia and her husband Josef were originally from Germany having made Suffolk home for the past number of years.  She was a homemaker cared for her husband and family while he worked as a carpenter. 

She is survived her son, Carl E. Beckers; daughter, Pia Cox and husband Bob; grandchildren James Josef Cox and partner Shelbi Snowden and Megan Pia Cox and fiancé Blake Bullock; great grandson James Josef “JJ” Cox and one on the way.

A memorial mass will be announced at a later date.  R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
