The loss of a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are family and friends who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. God will comfort you during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are also with you and your family.

Jerry, I know you will miss your Mom. She was a great lady and I always enjoyed chatting with her when I would call your office. She was one of a kind!

Dear Grandmother Parma,

Thank you for your love and support over the years. I have always felt proud to call myself your granddaughter. I have always admired your strength, determination, resilience, strong work ethic, fierce love, and sharp mind. I strive daily to be like you. As a mother myself now, I can better appreciate the incredible effort you put into raising four accomplished, generous, caring children.

Thank you for always making us feel so special when we came to Virginia to visit you. Thank you for buying me books and encouraging my interests. Thank you for making us french toast for breakfast and having ice cream sandwiches in the freezer for special treats. Thank you for being a strong family leader and for being a life-long role model for me.

I will miss you very much, Grandma. I love you.

Although I met (Parma) Tommy’s Mother only once I was saddened upon hearing of her passing. The loss of someone you love is never easy and really does take time to lessen the pain and suffering. Remember the good times of which I hope were many.
Thinking of you at this time, John Tobin class of 1965 Portsmouth Catholic High Schoo.
