Natalie Jeanette Crocker Branch of Wakefield passed away peacefully Monday, November 27, 2017. Born August 30, 1964, she was a daughter of the late William Harvey Crocker and Nell Branch Crocker. Natalie loved to hear her sons play music; she was their biggest fan and was extremely proud of them. She was the “neighborhood mom” who invited many children into her home and treated them like they were family. Natalie loved lighthouses and had a lighthouse collection that extended throughout her house. She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.


Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ishmuel Edison “Eddie” Branch, Jr.; her sons, Joshua Matthew Branch (Amber), Jacob Lucas Branch, and Joseph Martin Branch; grandchildren, Destiny and Daelyn Whitney; siblings, Richard Allen Crocker, William Gregory Crocker (Debra), and Tammy Lynn Crocker Joyce (James); aunts, Linda Sue Bowden (John) and Judy Powell; uncle, Ronald Crocker; her best friend, Charles Lee Mixell and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.


The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Rd., Zuni, VA 23898 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the church with Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will be private. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel is serving the family. Condolences may be posted at
