We are sorry to hear if Mrs. Atkinson's passing. Mike worked with her at Beale's , and I knew her as a customer of Bank of Suffolk, now BB and T. She was a very sweet and kind lady.

The death of your loved one is the most devastating experience your family will face. At times, the pain of the loss will feel unbearable. Please know that there are friends who care about you and your family during this difficult time and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. We pray that Jehovah the God of all comfort is with your family during this difficult time of grief.

Williams Family

Dear Atkinson Family,

I am writing to express my condolences. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the JOY of having our Heavenly Father return your dear one to you. The Bible offers words of comfort at 2Corinthians 1:3, 4, were it says in part, “the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, comforts us in all our trials.” May you all find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about her and reunite her with you all again.

My Deepest Sympathy

May you all lean on each other for strength. Please know Leah is happy with her love ones she has missed.

Our thoughts and Prayers are with you all.

I did not hear about Leah death until I read it in the Tidewater News Saturday morning. I know she had been through a lot of ups and downs in her life and I can honestly say I was priviledge to know her and call her my friend for many years as she lived in the town of Ivor.
We worked closely in the Ivor Ladies Auxiliary and as well as she had been a neighbor. Whenever I would see her in the nursing home she would always say"that's my neighbor" and I would say you are right. Leah is now with a lot of people she loved and is rejoicing with her husband and family. You were a special lady and friend
