Judith L. Holland, 81, passed away on September14, 2017 in Richmond, VA. She was predeceased by her parents James W. and Essie B. Holland, her sisters Ann Wood and Nancy Baines, and her brother James H. Holland.

She is survived by her sisters Barbara Nelms of Elizabethtown, PA, Charlotte Duke (Shirley) of Suffolk, VA, and Ellen Forrest of Burlington, NC. As well as many nieces, nephews, and her special friend Nancy Bain of Richmond, VA.

Judith was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Richmond, VA. She worked at the Methodist Children’s Home in Richmond as a Housemother until it closed.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday September 19, 2017 at 2 PM at the Holland Cemetery US 58 and O'Kelly Dr. Suffolk, VA with Rev. Cheryl Owen-Watson officiating. The family is being served by R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church 411 East Grace St. Richmond, VA 23219. Condolences may be offered at RWBakerFH.com.

How I remember Judy over the years. I will always recall her strong faith and how she continued to share it with others over the years.

I'm so sorry to hear of Judy's passing. We worked together for many years ,at the Windsor nursing home. She a true friend. . I'm praying that God will comfort and keep you in this difficult time.

Sorry to see in Richmond paper where Judith had passed. I worked with Judith at The Windsor for 15 yrs. I enjoyed talking with her when she would come upstairs to see me. I know a lot of residents appreciated her services. I will remember your family in my prayers. Love Shirley Corbin
