Rest easy to the only Grandpa I ever knew. Thank you for sharing your stories and wisdom about the Navy with me. Say hello to my Father, and watch over me with him while I continue my career.

Dear Aunt Karen and cousins Tammy, Rhonda, Jerry & Julie (& lovely families),
Finding the right words with a loss like this is not easy . . . Uncle Jerry, to each of you, was what Daddy (Robert) was to each of us. Men this amazing are few and far between; I'm grateful and thankful for having spent time with each of them.
Uncle Jerry's lively spirit brought joy to those around him. While I've certainly missed him (all of you) over the past several years, "stalking" you on facebook has allowed me to see his zest for life manifest through his children, grandchildren and, now, GREAT-grandchildren. What joy, what love, what a testament to the "true" values of what it means to be a family!
Great memories, dear aunt & cousins, of time at Grandaddy Red & Granny Daisy's . . . we are some lucky people!
Hugs from afar, you are held close in my heart!

My condolences to the family of a great guy. I only knew Jerry for a short time. Iinitially merry him as a customer, we bonded almost instantly through our similar submarine service but he was also infectiously friendly. The community is a lesser place with his passing.
Fair winds and following seas shipmate.
