James Mack Morris passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born January 16, 1932, he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Morris and Virginia Babb Morris. Mack served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Brown and Williamson, was the owner of Morris Electric, and was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Audrey Sheffield Morris; a grandson, Gregory Alan Smith; a son-in-law, Earl Smith, and siblings, Geraldine Vaughan, and Bennie Morris.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Darlene Smith; grandson, Baylan Earl Smith and his wife, Rachel; great-granddaughter, Amelia Mary Smith; sisters, Edith Wilson, Emily Williams, and Kathryn Pond and brothers, Joseph Morris, and William Morris.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 17, 2019 at Waverly United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Waverly UMC, P.O. Box 12 Waverly, VA 23890 or Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583 Waverly, VA 23890. The family is being served by R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel where condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
