I enjoyed visiting with Donald at our SHS reunion this past summer. I have wonderful memories of playing in the band with him in high school. He was so talented & a great guy.

My parents and I lived above the Evans family on Oakdale Terrace when I was young. We all have fond memories of Verlie (working at Peanut Park and at the peanut center) plus Julia, Donald, and Phil. Mom and I extend our sincere sympathies to the Evans family. -Dot Gatling and Patricia Gatling Middlebrooks

Phil, so sorry to hear about your brother Donald. We lived next door on Oakdale Terrace until I was 8 years old so I have fond memories of Donald and his musical talents. Starting life in that neighborhood was wonderful for me and all the Evans family members helped make it so.
