Donald “Donnie” Ray Peck, Jr. was born August 12, 1959 and departed Monday, January 27, 2020. He was the owner of Van Cleef Trucking which he ran with his sons. He was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church and had been a member of Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Peggy Peck. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Monica Bush Peck; children, Joshua Ray Edwards and wife, Carolyn, and Robert “Gus” Ray Peck; grandchildren, Corey Edwards “Champ”, Tyler Turner, and Jeslynn Peck “Mouse”; brothers, David and Derek; sister, Dana; chosen family members, Darrell Scarboro, Billy Bain, and Lewis Garnett, and his best friend, Cobi.

Donnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a great love for family, friends, and food.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Wakefield United Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Riggs officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to Wakefield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 87 Wakefield, VA 23888, Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department, 155 Fleetwood Ave. Wakefield, VA 23888, or Waverly Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 318 Waverly, VA 23890.
