Dianna Turner Carroll passed away peacefully on February 3, 2019 at her home. Born May 4, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Leland G. Turner, Sr., and Annie Holland Turner. Dianna retired from VDOT after 43 years of employment. She was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church and was a member of the Wakefield Community Hunt Club. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, dancing and laughing; but what gave her the greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 34 years, Edwin Benjamin “Ben” Carroll; son, C. Rossie Carroll and his wife, Amy; grandchildren, Abbie Christine Carroll, and Christopher Collin Carroll; sisters, Annette Turner Yost and her husband, Billy, and Sharon Turner Stone; brother, Leland G. Turner, Jr. and his wife, Nancy and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Wakefield United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenn Riggs officiating. Burial will follow at Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department, 155 Fleetwood Ave. Wakefield, VA 23888, or the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
