Catherine W. Hurdle went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Royce L Hurdle and was predeceased by her siblings Nell Champion, Willie Honeycutt, and Jean Bunch.

Catherine a loving wife, mother and grandmother was retired after 27 years as a Suffolk Public Schools bus driver. She was a charter member of Wilroy Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons Wayne Hurdle and wife Pam and Barry Hurdle and wife Vickie; grandsons Ryan (Alex) and Levi; sister Syble Whitley and brother William J. (Bill) Whitehurst Jr. and wife Betty.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11 AM in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. Suffolk by Pastor Timothy W. Rawls. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Wilroy Baptist Church Building Fund. Condolences may be registered at
