I remember my cousin Carrie as a deeply committed Christian, a true “people person,” and a great encourager. Her Bible and personal journal were her daily companions. She loved to read, share her faith with others, and was a very attentive listener. She loved to affirm others. I experienced this firsthand when she patiently listened to me ramble in my teenage melancholy moments, and she even invited me to teach her ladies Sunday School when I was barely a teenager. She unconditionally loved family and friends. I send my love and prayers to my cousin Sherri and her family. Like them, I look forward to seeing Carrie again when we are reunited in heaven.
