Byron Albert “Bud” Wydman, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Born November 16, 1944 in Colorado, he was a son of the late Byron Albert Wydman, Sr. and Betty Eudaly Wydman. Bud proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 8 years and retired from Continental Automotive in Newport News after 30 years of employment. He was an active member of Waverly Hunt Club for 45 years. His passion was the outdoors and the fellowship of the sport. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sue Ann McNeely, and a brother-in-law, James T. “Terry” Davis.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Barbara JoAnn Crawford Wydman; sons, Byron Albert Wydman III and his wife, Wendy, Donald Eric Duncan, David Carl Duncan, Christopher Allen Wydman, and Craig Phillip Wydman; granddaughters, Dorothy Marie Duncan, and Erika Marie Duncan; grandsons, LCPL Jordan Duncan, and Preston Duncan; brother, Dale Wydman and his wife, Dorothy; sister-in-law, Lana C. Davis; niece, Heather Coryer; nephew, James T. Davis, II as well as other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Waverly Hunt Club, 28438 Petersburg Rd. Waverly, VA 23890. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to Waverly Hunt Club Legacy Fund, 3112 Poplar View Place Chester, VA 23831, http://www.donationto.com/WHCLegacy, or to money can be deposited at any BB&T bank. This fund will be used to promote youth sportsmanship and membership fellowship. The family is being served by R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel where condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
