Billy E. Hancock
Billy E. Hancock, age 86, passed away on July 24, 2021. He was born in Dallas, Texas, to Claude and Quilla Burnett Hancock. He is predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia Hancock Buesing; brother, Robert C. Hancock, and sister, Patsy Joann Dunlap.
He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and then graduated from North Texas State College. He served as a special agent for the U.S. Secret Service under seven presidents. After retirement, he worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond and handled security for several international mercy missions for The Flying Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Hancock; son, Billy E. Hancock, Jr; grandchildren, Amber, Stephen, and Timothy and great-grandchildren, Xaviar, Reagan, and Sutton.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 2pm at Pineview Cemetery, 761 N. Raleigh St, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA is serving the family. Condolences may be registered online at RWBakerFH.com.

I worked with Billy on many details throughout my career and in the Houston Office. He was one of the "good guys". The kind of man who you could always count on to do the right thing. It was an honor to know Billy Hancock. Semper Fi. Rest in peace Billy.

I will always remember his keen sense of humor. I never stood a chance when Big and little Bill got going with their jokes. Grateful to have known Mr. Hancock, he will be missed.
