Betty Miller Norris, age 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home. A lifelong resident of Waverly, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy Miller. Betty was a member of Waverly Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John Robert Norris, Sr.; son-in-law, W.E. “Billy” Bayne, Sr. and a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Upton Norris.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Betsy Norris Bayne; her son, John Robert Norris, Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua Robert Norris and wife, Lindsey, and Tara Leigh Norris; step-grandchildren, W.E. “Ed” Bayne, Jr. and Rhonda Fox; great-granddaughter,  Bethany Dawn Norris.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 2, 2018 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Waverly Cemetery with Rev. Ted Upton officiating.
