Barry Wayne Crowley, Sr. went to be with Lord on November 20, 2018. He was the son of the late Mary and Luther Crowley Jr.. He was predeceased by his son Barry W. Crowley, Jr., sister Judy C. Beacham and brother Leonard B. Crowley.

Barry was a retired Pastor, who worked extensively with the homeless and troubled youth. He served as the Chaplain at the Durham Rescue Mission for many years. He was an avid fisherman, camper, and cook.

He is survived by his wife Marie S. Crowley; children Catherine Chadwick of Keller, Texas, Stephanie Greubel and Chris Crowley both of Newport News, VA, Candice Gallop of Suffolk, VA, and Cristy Trevino of Salem, Oregon; sister Rita New of Lasker, NC; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and Baby Girl, his beloved dog and constant companion; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2 PM in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. Suffolk, by Pastor Frank Jennings. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 PM. Burial will follow in Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Center for Law and Justice at ACLJ.org or to Christian Aid Ministries at Christianaidministries.org.
