Jesse Thomas Apple unexpectedly made his transition to the next world August 8, 2016 after dying in his sleep. Jesse was born December 10, 1992 in Norfolk, Virginia. From his earliest years Jesse loved doing science experiments, building crazy inventions, and being creative on all levels. Many people will remember his impressive science fair entries, and his parents remember his constant, often messy, projects around the house. Jesse attended Nansemond Parkway Elementary School, Stonebridge Christian School, and Kings Fork High School.

He is survived by his loving wife Patty Owens Baldwin of 24 years. Richard and Patty met in Norwalk, Connecticut where they were both employed. Together they moved to Suffolk, Virginia ultimately retiring to Florida 13 years ago.

Frances belonged to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, was active in the local art community, owned and ran The Willows Antiques and Fine Gifts for many years, and especially loved spending time on the beaches of the Outer Banks. Frances is survived by her husband, Douglas, her three children, Tamara Bower James, Wynter Shotton, and Rand Shotton, and her two grandsons, Hunter Bower and Taylor Bower. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.

She also had a great love for chocolate, and with her daughters, would play a game every year to see who could find dark chocolate covered cherries when they came in season. At 70 years old she could still beat her grandchildren in the basketball game Horse with her fierce left hook. Liza was a member of the Suffolk Library Board.
