James Pierce Horton, 77, of Windsor, VA went to be with the lord on October 27, 2017. Born in Nansemond County, he was the son of the late Eldridge Horton, Martha (Gray) Horton, and the late Lillian James King Horton Cobb of Norfolk, Virginia.

He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation in Suffolk after 36 years as a mechanic. He was a faithful member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Mills M. Johnson; a daughter Rebecca C. Dowty (Claude) of Zuni; sons Ronald Cobb of Zuni and William H. Cobb of Chesapeake; as well as 12 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Charles Lewis Marshall, Sr., 81, passed away on October 21, 2017 at his residence in Suffolk surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, WB and Goldie Marshall, who owned Riverside Dairy in Churchland; and six brothers.

He retired as Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, then retired as a Regional Vice-President of Gordon Jewelry.

He is survived by his wife Claudia L. Seamans; daughters Jessica Kelley and husband Ryan of Virginia Beach and Danielle Seamans of Tallahassee; three grandchildren Logan Kelley, Declan Kelley, Emma Roland; and brother William Davis Seamans of Richmond, IN.

Mark loved American History, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, especially planting and caring for trees. He spent his earlier years as a lumber grader for Seward Lumber Company and he also worked felling trees for Buchanan Logging. Donald Robert Bracey “Donnie”, 66, of Ivor passed away peacefully Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a longtime, faithful member of Millfield Baptist Church and a charter member of Bent Barrel Hunt Club. Donnie enjoyed spending time with his community, especially attending the local softball games. The time he cherished the most was the time he spent with his grandchildren. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Prince George Electric after 43 years of employment. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers George, Cleveland, and Richard Sheffield.

Shirley started her working career for B.D. Laderberg and Son and went on to work for A.P. Groceries, Gold Kist Peanuts before retiring from Century 21 Brent Realty as a Real Estate Agent. She loved to work in her garden and keeping her yard pretty. Shirley was a member of Lighthouse Ministries in Holland, VA.

Lynda was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, and grandmother that loved the Lord. She had a way of making those she met feel very special from the pharmacy workers at Walmart, to the Veterinary office employees, to the lawn man.

She is survived by her son Bradford Richard Bandlow; daughter Bernadette Umbenhaur; grandchildren Angela Hostettler and Benjamin Umbenhaur; four great grandchildren; and a special caregiver her nephew Henry Carter; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
