Reuben Boyce “Rudy” Darden of Ivor passed away peacefully Monday, February 19, 2018. Rudy served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was the owner of the Zuni Trading Post. Born in Norfolk, he was a son of the late Reuben Boyce Darden, Jr. and Pauline Whitaker Darden. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Rene’ Darden and his son, Neil Unroe.

Robert Gregory "Greg" Gillette, 47, passed away Feb. 2nd 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer at The Denver Hospice in Colorado.

Greg had a big heart, a wonderful sense of humor and was a loyal and honest friend. He exhibited a boundless energy for nutrition, dancing, and outdoor adventure. Greg adored Mother Nature and was an avid hiker and snowboarder. He lived from the west coast in Ashland, Oregon to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to the shores of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and made a broad spectrum of amazing friends in-between.

She was a lifelong resident of Surry County until moving to Midlothian in the fall of 2015. The youngest child of the late Charles Edward Addison and Adeline Clawson Addison, she was born on January 20, 1931. It was while working at the Surry Drug Company that she met her future husband, James Baird, whom she married in 1952.

Pop lived in Ivor and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his wife and children, as his family was the most important thing in his life. He also enjoyed his involvement in youth football in his home town of DuBois Pennsylvania and took pride in his involvement in Civil Air Patrol.
