Raymond Leroy Silvis, affectionately known as “Pop”, passed away peacefully Friday, February 2, 2018 with his family at his side. Pop lived in Ivor and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his wife and children, as his family was the most important thing in his life. He also enjoyed his involvement in youth football in his home town of DuBois Pennsylvania and took pride in his involvement in Civil Air Patrol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Roy Silvis and Lauretta Elizabeth Reasinger Silvis and his sisters, Joan Barker and Jane Wegner.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nancy Carol Williams Silvis; his sons, Scott D. Silvis and his wife, Jeanette, Shane D. Silvis, and Shawn D. Silvis; his granddaughter, Tiffani Silvis Martin and her husband, B.K., his grandson, Alex Silvis, step-granddaughters Valerie and Carolynn Bonham and Crystal Ann Blumenstein.

The family will be receiving family and friends at the home of Nancy Silvis on Saturday, February 10th 2018 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. It was Pop’s wishes that all services be private. R.W.
