JoAnn Jones, 71 died December 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents Emma and Corbett Evans; brothers, Fred Thompson, and Bobby Evans; daughter, Teresa Neal; and great grandson, Brandon Fulcher.

Survivors include her husband, Davy W. Jones; children, Pete Sleeman, Ernest Neal, Robert Neal, Sharon Malin, Norma Hodges, Melissa Hampton; stepchildren, Dennis Jones, Anthony Jones, Wendy Jones Antonucci; granddaughter, Jennifer Hodges; 28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Evans; sisters, Catherine Roten, and Betty Jean Willard; and caregiver, Ashley Gatson, PCA.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm by the Rev. Jerry Greco in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington Street, Suffolk, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.

I will love you always and forever grandma!!!! You were a wonderful women. You will be missed by all! Maia said "Daddy, I am so happy that I got to meet Mah-Maw. She was so funny and she was sooooo nice to me. I will miss her so much and I love her with all of my heart" I love you with all of my heart too grandma. Grandpa and all of your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss you deeply. I will never forget you and I will share all of the good and funny stories to Maia to keep the spirit of you still alive. My heart goes out to Grandpa and your children. I will see you again!!! Love you!!!

I wanted to relay my condolences. Although I don't know your family personally I do know how difficult loe of family is, especially in a large family. I found comfort in the Bible verses found at John 5:28,29 and Rev. 21:4. I hope they bring you some comfort as well. Again my deepest sympathy.
